What is Braid?

Braid is a wallet-native portfolio interface for viewing supported crypto and tokenized assets, defining target allocation, and preparing portfolio changes for wallet-authorized execution.

How does Braid construct a portfolio?

Braid combines supported wallet balances with current market data, normalizes asset precision, calculates position values, and derives each asset's share of the complete portfolio.

Does connecting a wallet authorize transactions?

No. A connection gives Braid the account and network context needed to read supported balances. Every approval and execution action still requires separate confirmation in the wallet.

How does portfolio rebalancing work?

Braid compares current allocation with the target selected by the user, converts the difference into value changes, and builds a route that can be reviewed before authorization.

How are quotes and execution routes handled?

Quotes reflect current liquidity, expected output, fees, price impact, minimum output, and slippage constraints. They can be refreshed without changing the user's target allocation.

What happens after a transaction confirms?

Braid refreshes wallet balances and price state, then reconstructs the portfolio from the resulting holdings so the interface reflects the confirmed onchain state.
